What it does
Record at full quality
Records to WAV at 16-bit or 24-bit integer or 32-bit float, following the sample rate your microphone actually delivers, so playback never comes out at the wrong speed or pitch. Input level and a live spectrum are shown while recording.
Transcribe on the device
Speech recognition runs through whisper.cpp on the phone. Fetch a model once and everything after that works offline. Live transcription turns speech into text while you talk.
Clean up the transcript
Summarize, proofread and translate with models that run on the device. Turn a raw meeting or interview recording into something you can read.
Video and screen capture
Record video with the camera or capture the screen. Anything you record can be transcribed the same way.
Send it over AirDrop
Share a recording or video straight to another device from the library or the playback screen. Transcripts go as text files.
Start without opening the app
A home screen widget and Siri shortcuts start a recording without launching the app first.

Frequently asked questions
Where are my recordings stored?
In the app's folder on the device. Nothing is uploaded automatically. You can also reach the files from the Files app.
What format does it record in?
WAV, at 16-bit or 24-bit integer or 32-bit float. The app follows the format your microphone actually delivers rather than forcing a fixed sample rate. Bit depth and channel count can be changed in Settings.
Do I need an internet connection to transcribe?
Only the first time, to fetch a speech model. After that transcription works offline. Recognition runs on the device and your audio is never sent anywhere.
Transcription won't start
Fetch a speech model from the Transcribe tab first — transcription cannot run without one. The models are large, so check that you are on Wi-Fi and have free space.
How do I move a recording to another device?
Use the share button in the library or on the playback screen to send it over AirDrop. Transcripts can be shared the same way, as a text file.
Why doesn't screen recording capture other apps?
On iOS, a recording started from inside an app captures only that app's screen. Use the system screen recording in Control Center if you need to capture everything.
My recording stopped partway through
The usual causes are low free space, an incoming call, or another app taking the microphone. A WAV file is also limited to about 4GB by the format itself, and recording stops automatically when that is reached. For long sessions, use the split-file setting.
Can I remove the ads?
The app is free and supported by ads. There is no paid option to remove them.
